In addition to this viable fact is that, not only is the poverty stricken individuals are solely affected by this raise but also affects the inexperienced, low skilled youths.
             This explains one of Mankiw's Principles on "The cost of something is what you give up to get it" (Mankiw) because decision makers such as the federal government or state representatives who choose to pursue this exploit have to reflect on the evident outcomes and implicit costs of their actions. By increasing minimum wage unemployment rates increase because the labor demand will shift to unfavorable conditions and will not provide an opportunity for low skilled young workers who usually partake in part time jobs such as teenagers and youths any job options.
