Instead, it appears that the reader is to assume that these things are implied to have been created by the gods, possibly Apsu and Tiamat. However, in the Genesis account of Creation we see a God who does answer each of these questions, has complete control while being the only God and who has a purpose and a plan for the things He created. .
The ancient Mexican creation myths prove to be very peculiar and quite interesting. The people here have a sense about themselves that desires harmony and peace. However, in order to keep the sun god alive and functioning, they must have a blood sacrifice. The gods, though, do realize that within their creation they should, and want to, have some sort of world order and peace, and they also wish to see someone or something living on the earth. The problem is that the ancient Mexican myths are very man-centered. Gods are supposed to be Lord over the humans, as the God of the Bible is to His creation and His followers. But, in the Mexican myths, it always appears that the humans almost control what the gods do and the gods do not guide the people. The ancient Mexican myths are false because they are based more off of past tradition and history rather than having the gods or God guide them.
Metamorphoses is a creation story that appears a little more realistic than the Mexican myths, but it still leaves the reader pondering many essential questions about life. The gods in Metamorphoses have no structure about themselves and it appears to be that creation came from some position of chaos and turmoil. This story, seems to parallel the Genesis account the best. But, it in no way is the same story. Metamorphoses has certain aspects of the biblical account in Genesis within it, but it also has major discrepancies. This myth may sound like Genesis but it in no way has one God as the God of the Bible does. Also, Metamorphoses is not clear as to where the creation occurred, how it actually happened, or when it happened.
