In 1993, the Supreme Court came to an agreement of making the killing of innocent children legal; in other words, allowing abortion. Since then, Abortion has been one of the most controversial topics in America. When it comes to abortion, there are two types of groups, Pro Life and Pro Choice. Pro Life meaning that abortion is wrong and should be illegal while, pro choice means that abortion should be legal since it's a choice. People usually stick to one of these opinions and try to argue back to every opinion against theirs. For example, people who are Pro Life will argue that abortion is considered as murder and those that are Pro Choice will argue that abortion is fine when the girl gets raped because she did not choose to get pregnant.
Everyday, a child who is not even born yet is facing whether he or she will be born or not. Almost like flipping a coin, heads they're born, tails they die. There are approximately 42 million abortions in the world, every year. That's 42 million children who will never see the light of the day. 42 million children who will never go to school, have friends or know how it feels to have a mother and a father. Those 42 million children that get aborted are children like me, you, us.
Believe it or not, I could have been one of those 42 million children who get aborted. One day I was talking to my mom and she told me I was not supposed to be here. I asked what she meant by that and she told me that after my brother was born, she had surgery so she would not get pregnant anymore but somehow, I came along. She wanted to abort me because I was just going to be another struggle and I was not planned. Even though I am here now and I didn't get aborted, I got hurt when my mom told me this. Why? Because I would never expect my mother to do something like that. .
Almost every woman has one abortion in her life! More children die from abortions than from natural accidents.
