This is often referred to as a detailed flowchart as it often contains detailed information on the process as you follow along to each step in the diagram. This is the most common and best way to get a high level view of the system and follow the process into further detail.
             As we examine which business processing mapping tools should be used in the documenting of the analysis phase it really depends on what approach you choose to take. The path we are going to look at is the process analysis which is basically the idea that existing processes can be analyzed to determine how effective and basically efficient they are. How in depth this analysis gets is really determined by how detailed of an understanding that needs to be developed and also the level of documentation that already exists. It is usually a five part process to the process analysis. The first is a general investigation of the definition of the process. This usually means examining objectives, scope and possibly content. You nest look at an evaluation of how the design including the standards and practice are set to meet objectives.
