Legalizing Human Cloning

Muscle cells go on the outside, urothelium cells (which line the urinary tract) on the inside. "It's like baking a layer cake, " says Anthony Atala of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. "You're layering the cells one layer at a time, spreading these toppings. " The growing bladder is then incubated at body temperature until the cells form functioning tissue. The whole process takes six to eight weeks. A solid organ with more blood vessels such as liver and kidneys takes longer to grow.
Saving lives is very important, but people may argue that cloning should be illegal simply because it affects the norms of society and is killing more lives than it's saving. In the article, "Human Cloning: Comments by Political Groups and Religious Authorities " by Bruce A. Robinson, there is a statement made by Richard Nicholson of the British Bulletin of Medical Ethics. He implied that cloning research may well be "sowing the seeds of our destruction." It's not right to have a special group of people that has perfect genes. These people fear that cloning could create a new race of humans, which are super smart and strong. In order to clone a being scientists need cells from the embryo and the embryo will be disposed afterwards, embryos are being put at risk. The embryo comes from cells from a human cell that is put in media with the perfect atmosphere to survive. Then scientists remove the nucleus from unfertilized human egg cell and implant it in the cell. Shock the cell to make the cells combine and cause DNA to move back and forth and create the embryo; repeat until there is a sufficient amount of embryos, many won't survive. Then they take the cloned embryo and implant it into a surrogate mother until she comes to term and delivers the cloned baby. People may say that this process is killing babies and humans and it's not right. Individuals say this because scientists take DNA from these embryos and dispose them if they are not needed.
