People experience stress everyday throughout their lives. Some days they may experience more stress than other days. Stress is essential to improve skills; however, it can also create chronic or acute health risk. Chronic, long-term, stress can lead to deficiencies in the immune system and cardiovascular diseases. Acute, short-term, stress can cause high amounts of depression leading to unstable heart rate, negative changes in mood, and eating disorders. Stress is mostly caused at work, school, and home. It may occur during situations of high demand or time efficiency, which involve quick critical thinking. This may help establish experience and boost critical thinking for future situations. I have learned to control stress. .
Since I was born, I was taught to work hard. My family and I have been working on the house for years, rebuilding the house section by section day and night. Every week there is a different task to take care of outside the house; it varies from simply watering the plants to construction work. Also, my mom and I work inside the house; It varies from cleaning the house to organizing everything. In addition, I help my 14 year old brother with his school work. All these experiences have helped me to become a leader, those experiences has taught me many valuable lessons that I use and may use later on in life; however, having a high demand of task at home has caused me lots of stress. .
Time management has been very difficult for me. During my highschool years, it was not difficult to manage time. I would only do homework and not study, yet achieved fantastic grades; however, It is now difficult to manage time. I currently work at Aramark, North Park University's dining hall, and attend school. On top of all of that I have to meet my parents demands at home while attempting to do homework. Stress can be reduced in many ways. Extracurricular activities are one of the main factors of reducing stress.
