Alex was the perfect example of brainwashing someone because they are open to it. He wanted out of prison and this treatment would give him that. He allowed them to apply this treatment to him even though it was extremely excruciating. But, in Alex's eyes, the pain was worth the achievement. .

Once a person has found their next victim for brainwashing, they start the procedure. There is several ways a person can be brainwashed. One of the easiest of ways is used in the cult society. These leaders of cults offer "a simple path to happiness, to success, to salvation by following their simple rules, simple group regimentation and simple total lifestyle." There are young adults in our society that are unhappy with their life and/or family. These leaders make their world seem like a slice of heaven compared to how they are living and feeling now.
