Euthanasia - Care, Not Killing

Palliative care doesn't only benefit the patients, but also family members, friends and physicians. First, palliative care would offer patients painkillers and different kinds of therapies that make pain tolerated, so that way patients don't even have to think of the idea of death since pain is the number one cause of euthanasia. Also family members and acquaintances won't have to witness their beloved ones suffering from pain or dying. That also can take a break from taking unprofessional care of the patients and let physicians due their jobs. Finally, palliative care would prevent physicians from committing murder on their patients, making murder illegal for everyone.
Another subject matter to consider while evaluating the solution is operational feasibility. Operational feasibility is the organizations availability of a trained staff and a budget. Care Not Killing earns money from donations that can be made online. Each year they receive more donations, since euthanasia is becoming a topic that is widely discussed around the world nowadays. As mentioned before, the organization's solution is to promote palliative care, and of course, palliative care is provided by a qualified team of physicians and nurses. Thus, the organization's solution offers a qualified staff and their budget is available.
Finally, there are many social and cultural perspectives that should be considered. That means we have to figure out if the issue is accepted by religions, morals, and basically society. People usually rely on religious beliefs and traditions when they are facing the end of life. Christianity, Islam and Judaism are religions that are practiced by more than 54.3% of the world population, which all oppose assisted suicide. In Christianity, one of God's commandments is "Thou shall not kill", making a physician's right to kill forbidden. The Catholic Church also stated in their Declaration on Euthanasia that "All forms of suicide and euthanasia remain strictly prohibited".
