             This type of research is very important in our society today due to the variation it has to offer depending on where your research is done. What makes this research particularly interesting is how every person has a key role in this, whether you're a male, female, a child or senior everyone effects and is a participant towards this issue. This issue to me is especially interesting as I go to a university like others that have a very wide range of ethnic groups and am surrounded by this daily. Taking the time to look around at all the tables in the cafeteria seeing who everyone is with can really open your eyes to notice such things. My conscious has truly been transformed after researching such a topic as I'm sure many others have as well just by being at a school that is so diverse. .
             Key to notice is how powerful exclusion can be. Exclusion can often be influenced by ones thought personal power and social group member's influences. Often groups try to act or look more powerful or stand out from others, this can cause intimidation or make others feel nervous when trying to have an open mind to equality. "If a group maintains its identity when members interact with others, this entails criteria for determining membership and ways of signalling membership and exclusion" (Bartha Fredrik). This statement is very powerful and shows the positive and negative affect an group has the power to control and impact on others possible.

             When writing this paper it was has been very easy to find scholarly articles related to ethnic groups and how they interact with each other. Social organizations and groups portrayed as separate entities are key things I focused on in my research. A great example of social organizations or groups is shown through stereotypes. Jocks, nerds, drama kids and other names are often used to describe a social group. This can be a big problem and cause a lack of diverse groups due to many people being given a stereotype.
