Removing infected animals may be necessary to reduce the risk of animal-to-human transmission, but careful measures have to even be taken when burying or incarcerating the animal. The animals then spread the virus to humans, and humans spread it among themselves. Close contact with infected the infected person is one of the most common ways the virus is spread. This is why it is important that people always wear protective gear like masks and gloves if they are going to be in close contact with an infected person, and they should continuously wash their hands. Many symptoms of people with the disease are similar to common illnesses at first which is why every case is important.
