Arizona is currently experiencing one of the longest droughts in the state long history. For the past twenty-five years or so, the dry heat and sunshine has limited Arizona's water supply and forced the state to put some rather strict water usage restrictions in place to help preserve as much water as possible. Many home owners are given rules about specific times when they can do certain things like water their grass or plants, and even wash their car. Ultimately, hefty fines can be dished out to Arizona home owners that surpass a certain amount of monthly water usage. Being a resident of Arizona all of my life, I have seen firsthand just how strict the water regulations are and just how serious the drought problem is in Arizona. Listening to my parents and other adults in my neighborhood helped give me a better understanding of just how difficult it is to manage water usage and how much residents of Arizona must pay attention to everything they do throughout the day. A clean and reliable water supply is just one of the things in nature that people are fortunate enough to have in the United States and this is often overlooked by the general public. .
Nature supplies people with so many little things on a day to day basis that are not the easiest things to come across. Water, natural energy sources, and good weather are among the great advantages to nature that are frequently overlooked by people in Arizona and other places across the United States. I have slowly become aware of the positive benefits of nature because of the great things that it has to offer in Arizona alone, and this has changed the way that I look at nature on a daily basis. I have recently found that I can do a lot to make use of the natural environment while still making sure to take care of it and its many unique aspects. Overall, many little things in nature are often overlooked, and growing up in a drought-ridden state has allowed me to appreciate these things and understand just how valuable natural resources are.
