Puritans love in God

            The Puritans basically believed in the universal love of God for all mankind. The Puritans believed God and His worship were important enough to reserve at least one full day out of the week, and the original Puritan settlers joyfully devoted Sunday to the Lord. Sermons were very important and strived to get into the person showing much emotional to the intellectual life of the Puritans, these were rarely less than an hour long; Times of prayer could also be as long. Hymns were not allowed in the earliest Puritan worship. Only psalms or paraphrases of other Scriptures were sung. In keeping with their belief that every area of life should be molded by Christian principles, the Puritans saw all honorable work as a means of glorifying God. All of life was God's, and there was no distinction between secular and sacred work. God calls each person to a particular work or living, and the Christian should act on talents and gifts God has given him. Dying is like a calling of God for you they believed. Being without a job was considered a great sin, also industry in one's calling was a good asset.
             The Puritans believed in the present reign of Christ. They taught that we ought not to be discouraged by the darkness that prevails. We can always expect the fierce opposition and hatred of Satan. Yet we are to observe the sovereignty of God. We are to remember the promise that Christ will reign until all his enemies become his understudy. The Puritans wanted to bring sin free things to mankind and be pure. They did not see into material things and thought of praising their creators 24 hours a day 7 days a week to the fullest extent. The Puritans believed that they were in the New World because.
             God had brought them there for a special purpose. They basically were seeing as God deciding everything and every movement you are making all the way from how u give your lessons to what I am typing right now. Puritans were intellectual speakers and felt religion was the equivalent of life.
