Give me an example of a time when something you tried to accomplish and failed.
There was a situation when I had a really important job interview at a clinic in Aberdeen, Washington. This position was something that I had always wanted to do and it would fit in perfectly with my school schedule. I knew if I got this job I would be able to finish up at Grays Harbor Community College and not have to continue school. I got to this job interview, I had reviewed everything I needed to review to for this, I had some questions in my head I wanted to ask, and I was super nervous. I felt I had extreme confidence in getting this position because I was qualified, so I had thought. I got there, sat down with the a lady for an interview, what she informed me was that there would be a typing test. In high school, I took a typing class, and even in college. I knew I could accomplish this. I sat down and started taking the typing test and instantly my nerves got to me. I didn't finish the typing test in the amount of time given and there were numerous mistakes. Unfortunately, later that afternoon I got a call saying I didn't get the job position.
Result.
I found that my nerves got the best of me during this interview, and I know what to expect now when I attend interviews. I know that there may be typing tests, and I just need to say confident. After I got the call, I had realized something, that I needed to stay focused and confident at every interview. That job led me to my job at Tully's Coffee. Everything happens for a reason in life, and mine was to work at Tully's.
Question.
Give me an example of a time when you motivated others.
Response.
Situation.
At Grays Harbor College I was part of the GHC Women's Basketball Team. We had been losing all of our games during the seasons and we were down to our last game against Lower Columbia Community College. They were ranked number 2 in our league. We came out during the first half and we were making all of our shots, attacking the hoop, our posts were doing everything they were suppose to be doing.
