What factors are related to academic success in high school students?.
High school is a critical time in the life of all teenagers.it is a time when they lay the base for their future sprouting qualities and developing skills preparing to enter the next phase of life. On one hand teenagers are eager to explore the freedom given to them socialising, participating in events and growing in relationships. On the other hand they must be disciplined, they should know how to manage time and adapt to different situations and learn from them. Family, friends and school are the three main factors related to the academic success in high school. .
First the family plays a very significant role proving to be the backbone in the student's life. In a positive family environment teenagers experience love, support, attaining wisdom and experiencing a sense of discipline. At this time the family has expectation filling them with ambition boosting their spirit when required. Simultaneously they enhance their moral soul teaching them values and giving advice from their own experience.
Second, as a child turns into a teenager, friends begin to show more importance. The friendship one develops at this age are highly sensitive which could result in a positive or negative way. One may take this positively learning from the bad and good experiences with friends participating in activities which support their academic performance. But if one gets in a wrong surrounding then teenagers may get addicted to wrong habits not only effecting the academics but all aspects of life.
Third, school itself is the steering force which guides students to success. There are many things associated to school which could change the thinking or view of students like teachers, staff, facilities, activities, the subjects and the method of instruction. All these significant things help students motivating them in a positive way.
It is very clear that these factors produce various influences on students.
