Journey Of Transformation

Living a life of morality is not as easy as people may think it to be. It takes a whole lot of effort and self-discipline to pull it off. Morality is the natural sense of right and wrong. My theory is that this sense is usually gained from the surroundings on a person as a young child or from influences in a person's life. I believe that every individual is coded differently but that solely depends on his/her own daily choices. How do we make this choices?.
Reason. This is what all moral principles are based upon. There are three steps in reasoning. First, a person acquires knowledge and understanding through thought, experience and the senses. He/she then proceeds to evaluate the situation by seeing the beneficial or harmful relation of a certain action. Finally you regulate your action according to the specification of the task ahead of you.
Therefore, I tend to divert from the theory that life is organized around a code of moral values. I prefer to think that there are various obstacles in day to day life and moral values act as guidelines rather than rules to help you in making your ultimate choice. This is because at the end of the day it's you who calls the shots; right or wrong. .
Tolerance. Nostra Aetate states, "One is the community of all peoples, one their origin, for God made the whole human race to live over the face of the earth. One also is their final goal, God. His providence, His manifestations of goodness, His saving design extend to all men" It urges people from different cultures and religions to be understanding and united, because they all have a similar faith. Education in tolerance, means educating in the exercise of the freedom to adhere to one's own convictions, while accepting that others may adhere to theirs as well, and in respecting those practices that correspond to each individual's religious beliefs, provided that they violate neither the rights of others, nor national security, public health or morals.
