In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury he made many predictions of things that would evolve and become present in today's society. Ray Bradbury predicted that our society would change in a lot of ways and overall would become controlled by the government. This isn't really accurate to today's society as far as the government controlling us but a lot of his other predictions did come true. In Fahrenheit 451 predictions that are true today are that people are obsessed with their large T.V screens, people talking to their friends through a digital wall, and people will use electronic automated banking systems.
In the book everyone is obsessed with their parlor walls and TV's they feel as if they are part of a family with the people on the show. In today's society that applies pretty well to what people do. People today have their huge TV screens that pretty much take up an entire wall that they are so sucked into. Out of all the predictions this one was the most accurate one he made because today people are so obsessed with their television that don't even notice what's going on around them but in the book the TV is playing random things that keep the viewers distracted and is just a bunch of pointless nonsense. Most of the things people watch today are actually informing them and making them smarter so watching television today isn't what he predicted with it being the government controlling the people and brainwashing them to make them easier to control. The content on television is a little bit the same. People today enjoy watching police chases and criminals being hunted down on television like when they were hunting Montag. .
Ray Bradbury predicted that people in the future would take to their friends through a digital wall which today is true but not in a literal sense. Facebook today is how people talk to each other on the digital "wall."" Though in the book they are actually talking to each other through a wall it is a pretty close prediction.
