Nervous and stirring, my soul is now as tight as a string on a violin, but is also capable of providing dulcetly melodious music to share with you. Summer has sneaked off through the gaps of my fingers, disappearing before I had a chance to clench it. While I am stressed because of the academic challenges of this coming school year, I am also really looking forward to spending at least a year with you as a humble student and a friend of yours. Hopefully at the end of this year, both of us will find it meaningful and worthwhile. My name is Casper __________, an international student at Moreau Catholic High School; English has always been one of my most unfavorable weaknesses. I have been working hard to improve my English skills for the past two years, and frankly I succeeded to a certain point. But I know it is not enough. I am excited to experience unforgettable learning as a Mariner and more importantly as a student.
Art is a huge part of my life; I always believe art is a great way to perform ones ideology and what one has been through. I have been doing art since I was a child by doing some simple sketches. And as time passed, I fell in love with Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy, which led me to stamper making. After I came to Moreau, I changed my focus to watercolor, another area that I find really attractive. The appreciation of art and the ability to create art has been and will continue to be part of my life. I'm so happy to have found such a stress reliever and a way to share my feelings that I can always count on. .
The reason that I came to America is because when I was at home, my family and teachers basically prepared my life. I did not have to worry about anything. I will get a good education, go to good college, and find a good job. Even having fun with my friends felt like it had been planned ahead of time. Sometimes I would fight for better grades, but I was often overcome by lassitude.
