This further proved that deism aloud a person to choose if they wanted a relationship with God. This shows that in order to protect oneself, one must be watching out for their own faults. Unlike puritanism, individuals are able to control their own destiny through positive decision making. All in all, Puritanism evolved into deism allowing Franklin and others to create their own destiny and outlook in life, soon the new idea of romanticism evolves.
