Women have always been intelligent and now women are beginning to outscore men on intelligence tests, proving Upson's position that being a genius thrives beyond biology. However, Upson fails to acknowledge that female geniuses did in fact exist, but were hidden rather than flourishing in the spotlight. Upton one-sidedly only deliberates why females could not be geniuses. Nevertheless, some kind of genius must have existed among women, although it never translated to paper due to the place women held in society. .
While, high abilities abound in women, these capabilities have not been nourished. Women have always been geniuses though not granted the freedom to prove it. For this reason, feminism has become immensely powerful and females have begun to evaluate what is now being done with this virtual freedom now granted. Women have been unswervingly committed to the feminist cause, chatting self-righteously with fellow colleagues about reaching and maintain a place in the highest levels of one's profession. Feminist activists orate that women can have it all and do it all. Women are told to prove society wrong and forget the divisions between men and women. Upton touches on this topic of females finally making it to the "top;" however women cannot have it all. A choice must be made. Career versus family, for a genius is more than raw talent. It calls for dedication and focus, possibly a bit of luck, as well as nurture and support to reach full potential.
