I can honestly say that Mr. Collins is a very good teacher. He is generous and always ready to help each of his students to be successful in their education.
An effective teacher not only demonstrates a caring attitude, but also demonstrates an engaging attitude as well. For example, a teacher who gets the attention of a classroom of students and maintains their attention during the length of the class is an effective teacher. Mr. Collins not only taught his students to be a good and responsible people, but he also is a funny and joyful person. He excellently maintained the level of students' attention toward the subject he was teaching. He used in-class activities to reengage students when they began to lose focus, but above all, he wanted these in- class activities to be a study tool that will help his students have a better sense of understanding newly presented material. He also attempted in every possible way to find out what students are passionate about and use those interests as natural motivators to help increase students' engagement in the class because he knew that keeping students engaged in the class will help students obtain more information as teachers are teaching or explaining; also these method will help increase effectiveness in memorization because most of the time, whether in high school or college, most of the contents that teachers use for the exam often comes from lecture or class discussion. Therefore, it is a good thing for students that are able to learn and answer effectively. Mr. Collins is truly an engaging teacher. The only thing that he wants is to help his students get through their education successfully.
In addition to having a caring and an engaging attitude, being encouraging is also a characteristic of an effective teacher. For example, a teacher who has the ability to get their students to buy into, believe in, and to be motivated to become life long learners is an effective teacher.
