Cold Stone Creamery is an ice cream parlour. It was originally an American based company but its affiliation with Tim Horton's made it well known in Canada. The company is located in all Provinces of Canada and all States in the United States. After the recent fall out with Tim Horton's, Cold Stone Creamery decided to expand its operations beyond the North American continent into Africa. The first target country in the African continent is Nigeria. The vision to expand into the global market is an economic strategy. The company is optimistic that its operations in Nigeria will be successful, in view of the recent reports that have shown an increase in the demand for ice cream in that country. It is estimated that ice cream sales will bring about a growth rate of approximately 7% in the food industry. .
SECTION 1 - EXTERIOR.
Cold Stone Creamery offers a large variety of products. This includes over fifty different ice cream flavours, nine yoghurt flavours and four sorbet flavours. It is specially known for its mix ins. SECTION 2 - NATURE OF EXPANSION.
The company's products will benefit Nigerians because of the hot climatic conditions. The extreme weather conditions make cold refreshments a necessity. Cold Stone will provide an assortment of cold refreshments which include shakes, smoothies, yogurt and sorbets. These refreshments will be accompanied with a variety of cakes. Cold Stone introduces a variety of cold refreshments and will provide a variety of quality freshly made goods just the way you like it. .
Nigeria's large population will provide a large consumer base for the products of Cold Stone. Consumer behaviour in Nigeria has shown that there is a high preference for international products, with higher quality.
