In our modern society, celebrities and politicians are two groups of people who have massive impact on our daily lives. Some people are of the opinion that politicians have greater power, as they can obligate people to obey the law. Nevertheless, I think that nowadays people's life is more influenced by celebrities. .
First of all, celebrities appear on the media very frequently. They are always the first target of the paparazzi, so we can constantly know what is happening with them, like what they are wearing, where they are going or what they are interested in. In addition, in this technological era, we have easier access to the lives of celebrities. There are television sets, radio, smart phones, tablets plastered with interesting programmes and images of these famous people whenever you want to find out more about them. This certainly gives us a connection and a sense of closeness to celebrities. In contrast, politicians hardly appear on the media. We could see them mostly on the TV news and some other political programs, which are sometimes hard to understand and boring for some people. We don't usually pay much attention to them because they are not really physically remarkable. That is why celebrities could gain more attention than politicians and become an indispensable part in our life.
Secondly, celebrities have impact on many basic parts of our life. The first important effect is on our look and appearance. They always need to look beautifully in public, so they have to invest much money and time in catching up with the newest fashion style to have the best make-up, clothes, accessories, hairstyles, etc. Therefore, people, especially teenagers, are probably impressive by their beauty and usually try to copy the way of dressing of their idols. Furthermore, celebrities might also affect positively or negatively people's lifestyle.
