Biological effects of media violence include both short term effects, such as increased heart rate and perspiration, and long term effects like aggressive behaviour in the adult years. Our brain's capacity affects our experiences and the way we behave, and our experiences of the world influence our brains capacity. For example, when a child watches a violent movie or plays a violent video game, they are influenced by what they see and are unable to distinguish between their imaginations and reality. They absorb ideas, values and information, leading them to imitate this experience. .

             The psychological level of analysis studies the way an individual's behaviour is influenced through the thinking and feeling process.
