Every second, in the world, people of various ages and origins, need a blood transfusion according to their health requirements. Not each person, who needs blood, can achieve it in time, unfortunately. Necessity in blood is especially felt in the developed countries, where most of the world population lives.  .
             The special sponsoring organizations have established the steering committee, which plan events and measures for the World Blood Donor Day at the national and international levels. One of the main tasks and goals of this committee is to inform the global society about the World Blood Donor Day through the mass media. The measures of this event are directed to provide people with more information about the necessity in healthy blood and its elements. It expresses gratitude to voluntary free blood donors for their blood giving, which saves human lives.  .
             Blood transfusion allows saving millions of human lives. It can sustain lives of patients who suffer from health disorders, which endanger their lives. Necessary healthy blood can provide sources for making complicated medical procedures and surgical operations. Donor blood plays a great role in the problems of maternal and perinatal care. .
             Still, many countries do not have enough reserves of healthy blood, and the blood services have the issue in providing the necessary quantity of healthy and quality blood. It is possible to provide people with proper quality of blood only by regular blood donation of voluntary free donors. WHO's purpose is aimed to make the necessary base of healthy blood in every country by voluntary blood donation. By the data of WHO, for the current time, only 62 countries provide medical institutes and clinics with 100 percent of necessary donor blood, and 40 countries still depend from family donors and even paid donors. (World Global Organization, 2013).  .
             Blood donation is extremely valuable because every blood donation is giving life to a person.
