Jerry Bruckheimer produced two sports drama movies that explore some of the prevailing issues of civil strife this nation faced. Both are based on true stories dealing with the racial history of American sports. "Remember the Titans" is based on a less known racial episode, the integration of two Alexandria, Virginia high schools in 1971. At the movie's core is the racial struggles which are overcome by the T.C Williams football program, to produce a winning season.
