Location quotients can be extremely helpful in many ways. For example if I am looking to move out of town to find a new job or want to relocate, or franchise out my business. It would be best to use this formula to figure out many things. Like if there are already a large number of lets say for example construction businesses established. A construction company would see and conclude that if the new potential relocation county is expanding and growing with more people moving in as well as other businesses then there will be a more abundant amount of construction job opportunities, and decide to move there. Versus moving into a small, slow pace growing county with not to many new businesses or people moving in then will result in little work available. In order to take a risk like that you would have to look at other quotients first. To see if maybe manufacturing is on the rise slowly or not worth moving into that county at all. In this assignment I will estimate Location Quotients for New York County and give reasoning I believe would be for each one in groups of low (0.75 and below), medium (0.75 through 1.25), and high (1.25). .
The prediction I have for forestry, hunting, fishing and agriculture support would be that it is low. Reasoning because for one forestry is not something I believe you would find in a big city like Manhattan. By it not having any forest in the city I highly doubt anyone would be able to work as a hunter in the middle of the street. Agriculture would consist of farming and growing crops to sell. Also something I don't believe you would find in this big city with no place for a farm to grow. There may be some small gardens for maybe a small business to sell but nothing too big to make Manhattan an agricultural county compared to the United States. Of those in code eleven I believe the highest may be for fishers with the water being so close many may work as fishermen.
