International Space Station

The thrust then carries the object in the direction it is pointed in. If a pound of rocket fuel is burned, then one pound of exhaust is produced. The more fuel that is burned the faster the object goes (Rocket 3). .
Fuel starts out in the fuel tanks and then goes to the pumps. The way that the fuel is burned is pumped into a combustion chamber along with an oxidizer. The fuel would most likely be liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. The two substances burn to create high-pressure stream of gases and then the gases flow through the nozzle. At the nozzle, the hot gases are expelled creating propulsion (Rocket 5).
On the ISS, astronauts do not get the fresh food that all of us are used to on Earth. Food is meant to be stored over a long time. It is stored in different forms like dehydrated, low moisture, heat-stabilized, irradiated, or natural. All this food is stored in food storage compartments in the galley or kitchen. Heat-stabilized food has to be prepared on food warmers to be able to be eaten. The food that is dehydrated or has low moisture has to have water added to it (Work 10).
Water is a necessity on ISS and it sometimes has to be reused. Water is conserved and it has to recycled again and again. For example, astronauts cannot take showers on the ISS, they can only take sponge baths. The ISS has a water recovery and management subsystem that collects, recycles, and redistributes water from different sources. Water is collected from the fuel cells to sinks. This system cleans the water by using various condensers, filters, and purifiers. Water is still lost through the air locks and oxygen regeneration systems. Water will have to be brought from Earth every so often (Work 9).
Since astronauts are used to atmosphere on Earth, the same atmosphere has to be duplicated on the ISS. Oxygen will be mad by splitting water into hydrogen and water also known as electrolysis. Oxygen candles are going to be burned to produce more oxygen.
