Throughout life, we all want to achieve something, no matter how big or small. As we live, these goals can change, morph, or be completely discarded. That is why most people think very hard and take quite a bit of time developing and deciding on these goals. But, goals can't be impractical, they need to be achievable or else you are just setting yourself up for disappointment in the future when these goals are not met. Goals are also separated into three categories: Long Term, Mid Term, and Short Term, and their names are pretty self explanatory. Long term goals need to be achieved over a long period of time, such as a child wanting to be a professional basketball player when he grows up. Mid term is a middle length goal, and short being a goal you would like to achieve in a short amount of time, usually measured in weeks or months. I have also put in quite some effort thinking of my goals and by what means I go by achieving them. As for my long term, I want to explore a profession as a child therapist, or possibly a lawyer. My mid term is to graduate high school and improve my grades. And my short term is to turn in all my homework on time this coming school year.
To begin with, my long term goal. In the future, I plan on exploring a profession as a child therapist or possibly a lawyer. I have always had a strong passion for helping people in need and giving advice. In fact, I'm somewhat of a therapist for my peers, they often come to me with their problems seeking advice and I take pride in that, I take pride in helping my friends sort out their problems and once they are, the thought that I had taken part in making them happier brightens my week. Everyone, especially a child, needs help sometimes. That's why I want to be a child therapist, the first 20 or so years of life are when every choice you make affects you, and every problem you face and the way you go by solving it shape who you are in the future.
