Coupled with less than sub-par physical education programs in the schools are setting terrible examples for children. Spurlock is showing the audience that we need to do something, quickly, to help this next generation to become health conscious before it is too late. With habits like these it is inevitable that these children will end up becoming obese. Once they realize they have become this way desperation sets in. Many will end up making very drastic decisions in order to get rid of the weight that they have gained. One of the most drastic being gastric bypass surgery, because some people get so desperate and do not want to diet. In the film there are scenes of a man getting gastric bypass surgery. Many of the clips from the surgery are very graphic, but it shows the audience how extreme things can get just from a poor diet and lack of exercise. Spurlock's intends to show the audience that it should not have to get to this extreme. With simply the right exercise and diet, a person can live a long, happy, and healthy life. .
             One other angle that Spurlock goes into great detail about is how the fast-food industry itself looks out not for its customers, but for themselves and their stockholders. They do this by shamelessly advertising to young children. One example of this from the film is when Spurlock quizzes young children by asking them to identify pictures of famous people. The results were frightening when almost all of the children knew who Ronald McDonald was, but could not identify Jesus or George Washington. This shows the viewers that the United States population that these young children are being overexposed to these fast food advertisements. It should influence the audience put a stop to the shameless advertisement and promotion of fast food, especially the advertisement campaigns aimed to lure in young children.
             Spurlock does any amazing job of appealing to logos as well.
