The textbook's material, system analysis and chess can all relate to my life. The textbook's material, creative problem solving, relates to my life in that it helps me figure out the best way to solve my problems. System analysis, the evaluation of an activity to identify its desired objectives and determine procedures for efficiently obtaining them, relates to my life by helping me to solve my problems in an efficient way. Chess relates to my life by relating to it like a problem and how to improve even while making mistakes. Creative problem solving relates to my life in that it helps me to figure out the best way or different ways to help me solve my problem. In the textbook 2.3 inflexibility as a block to creativity says that, the willingness to play with ideas, change from one idea to another, associate dissimilar concepts, and think of many possibilities are all important. If I am being inflexible with coming up with the solutions for my problems it will diminish the possibility of playing with different ideas, and this would in turn reduce the possibilities available to me and may even prevent me from coming up with a solution. Being flexible with mind being open to different ideas helps me to solve the problems in my life in ways that I would not normally come up with. Solving problems using this way of creative thinking helps me produce some of the best results for solving my problems.

System analysis relates to my life by helping me to solve my problems by identifying them and solving them in an efficient way. Systems are created to solve problems and that is how I use them. First, I marshal all the information available to me on the problem in question. Second, I determine what my goals are. Third, I explore different alternative ways of achieving those goals, and I come up with new options, where appropriate.
