Indian Immigration and the United Arabs Emirates

The authors Martin, Castles and Miller, and Shrag seem to concede with each other's arguments. Martin expressed immigration leads to economic imbalance at the time of economic crisis in the country and results in recessions in an article, "Recession and Migration." Whereas, the downshift of migration matters in the decision making process of migrants in choosing host countries. Migrants are likely to migrate in the countries where the chance of economic crisis is low. This concept supports what Castles and Miller have argued in chapter 2, "Theories of Migration." Castles and Miller noted diasporas as a powerful tool for the economic development of a country and successive movement of immigrants make this process more efficient. .
Therefore, inflows and outflows of immigration and emigration are indicators of a country to build the economic and social development. In brief, Castles and Miller have explained the impact of immigration among the different regions in chapters 5-7, "Migration to Europe, North America and Oceania since 1945," "Migration in the Asia-Pacific Region," and "Migration in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and Latin America." The two authors noted how immigration helped shaping demographic, social structures, culture and economic status in Europe, North America and Oceania. In the Asian region, it was difficult for migrating permanently because of strict immigration policy. Among the regions within the world, the Middle East and Latin America regions happened to be the most desired place for migration globally. It was because those places where oil resources where economic opportunities were unlimited. The authors also wrote about the guest worker system and permanent settlement approach (Castles and Miller, p. 96-123). The whole picture about immigration is interconnected with internalization of globalization, investment, production, distribution, and because of these migratory flows has been attracting those countries that were isolated.
