Each of these have had a role in defining who I am now, but they all have an event or several that are linked to it. .
My spirituality is one of my defining factors because it revealed that some of the truths that I believed in were actually false, opened my eyes and mind, and it allows me to connect better with others. I acquired my spirituality when I had some simple, innocent questions, such as, " Are we alone, What is the definition of evil, etc." I searched in books, the internet, and within myself. I came across a place that could answer my questions, and they did so by teaching me how to learn how to find the truth to these questions. I learned about love, life, deception, death, and so many other life lessons from those little questions. I can now see through the lies put in place by those who would like to deceive, know the difference between lust, greed, and love. I now understand why people don't like me. I truly believe that I know how to better connect with other people, and know how they feel. I am a strong believer in many a subject, but that doesn't mean that I just blindly follow everything I'm told or read. Although rationality can fade a little within the whole of spirituality, I still think out my decisions. I believe that this helps define me today.
I believe that something not to many people my age can truly and wholeheartedly say is, "I am ready to die." No, I am not suicidal, I just have complete faith in two statements: 1) You cannot truly live until you are ready to die, and 2)When it's my time to go, I go, end of story. The story behind this one is a bit personal, but I'll summarize it. I was sitting alone in my dining room, doing my homework, when I was hit with something akin to a premonition. I was blinded by this vision of darkness, when I saw a window. I looked inside this window and saw the person closest to me being mutilated. I was of course mortified and anguished, when I heard a voice tell me to make a choice; them, or me.
