Project managers are responsible for getting their communication methods out involving the performance evaluations to management as well as their external and internal customers. This assures that the project is going on accordingly and running evenly on the accurate course. .
Team Selection.
The organizational structure being used for this project is functional form. The advantages of this structure are that cost and budget control is easy to handle and keep in line for which management has construed. Discipline, power, policies, procedures, and responsibilities are all better defined and understood in the functional structure. Managers are able to have great control over projects and employees contributing to great communication because everyone communicates directly with one another. This allows the family to have great control over its funding and easily distribute responsibilities among the members of the family to successfully complete the project. .
The project goals are not complicated so keeping the organizational structure simple correlates with the type of structure needed to accomplish the project goals, task and responsibilities. Approval for this organizational structure was obtained by the stakeholders and the project manager, the father. With approval from all members of the project the structure is best suited for the project and goals that need to be accomplished. After looking over the options and weighing advantage and disadvantages the functional form is best suited for the family vacation and all members made the best decision to suit success.
Project Revisions.
Because of the Smith's attention to good planning, the family vacation has been planned with virtually no conflict to the schedule, scope, or budget of the project. In fact, so far there has been a surplus in the costs of the project, and of the timeline of the project. When the trip was mapped out and the schedule was put together, the family was scheduled to return home three days prior to the original decided upon return date.
