Pornograpy and Deviant Behaviours

Violent pornography usually depicts sexual coercion in a sexually explicit context. This is shown in the case where a man uses force against a woman to obtain sexual gratification. .
Non-violent pornography is of two types. These are non-violent low-degradation pornography and non-violent high degradation pornography. In the former these are depictions of consenting mutually pleasurable sexual acts between adults or pictures of nude women. The latter depicts women in inferior positions, as being abused in some ways, or as oversexed or highly promiscuous (Malamuth, 1993). Married couples, single men and women, adolescents and children have all been reported as having awful experiences from viewing these pornographic materials. Their obsession with the material has resulted in divorces, breakdown in family relationships and general unhappiness among individuals. These issues further encourage an increase in deviant sexual attitudes among adults as well as adolescents and children. .
             Impact Pornography has on Marriage.
Pornography use undermines marital relations and distresses wives (Bridges et al., 2003). Husbands report loving their spouses less after long periods of looking at women depicted in pornography (Zillmann & Bryant, 1998). In many cases, the wives of pornography users also develop deep psychological wounds, commonly reporting feelings of betrayal, loss, mistrust, devastation, and anger in responses to the discovery or disclosure of a partner's pornographic online sexual activity (Schneider, 2000). Wives can begin to feel unattractive or sexually inadequate and may become severely depressed when they realize their husbands view pornography (Schneider, 2000).The distress level in wives may be so high as to require clinical treatment for trauma, not mere discomfort (Steffens & Rennie, 2006). .
Individuals who view pornography have little or no emotional involvement during sexual activities because they are only interested in the sexual acts.
