The prospective educational background coupled with my experience, the strong support of my husband, as well as an environment that will provide me with personal growth and development, my expectations of success are imminent. .
             After closing my bridal and event business to relocate to Greenville, South Carolina with my husband for his next career I began to rethink what type of events I was most interested in. Planning and coordinating events is without a doubt my passion, but I didn't enjoy the customers in the wedding environment. My husband suggested nonprofit work, after exploring the possibility of working in the nonprofit sector, I knew I could still enjoy my passion and make a difference.
             This research on my next business venture outlines how I can still find delight in planning events while simultaneously working with nonprofit organizations by answering the following questions:.
             1. Is there a field or position in the nonprofit sector for event planners?.
             2. Is there a need for my next business venture?.
             3. What are the required technical skills and certifications?.
             4. Is there a local organization that I can work for to gain more insight in the field? .
             5. What is the possible salary range?.
             6. What are the challenges I will face in this business venture?.
             Is There a Field or Position in the Nonprofit Sector for Event Planners?.
             Director of Development, Director of Charitable Contributions and Grant Writers are just a few titles one would have if employed in the nonprofit sector filling the role of Capitals Manager. Larger nonprofit organizations hold annual events, additionally their funding may come from just a handful of sources or from a wide array of charitable contributions, membership dues, government grants, fees from programs and services, and more. ( Jossey-Bass, 2011. p 1.) .
             Most organizations prefer to have someone in that position of responsibility on the board of directors. Individuals who are elected or appointed to the board of directors within the organization have full voting privileges as a director.
