Oedipus


            
             is a story about a man that marries his own mom. Within the story, Oedipus has many complex mysteries to slove. Many of the mysteries in the story incould fate. In the upcoming paragraphs there will be detail from the book's qoutes from the destation of Oedipus" fate.
             Oedipus" fate has a huge role in the book. With each fate that comes to him, there is a new understanding why he got married to his mom. On page 17 there is a quote that describes Oedipus "let me go home. Bear your own fate, and I"ll bear mine. It is better so; trust what I say". This enterasting quote speeks alot about Oedipus" fate. It says that if you bear our fates, then it's a good thing we don't now about are fate. To get furter into the plot of Sophocles" Oedipus Rex. we have to go deeper into the fate of Oedipus. The quote that decribes this is: "Ah, what net has God been weaving for me?.
             " (39). My secltion on at quote is to describe what Oedipus has been doing and trying to understand what his fate is. Also I think that quote is saying is that, what kind of trouble you are coussing me. From the two quotes we can understand that fate is a big part of oedipus" life. The two quotes is that it's proving that oedipus can't control his own destiny. By this Oedipus tries to understand were his fate might take him. .
             In that last paragraph was about he and his fate torrows his mom. In this paragraph it is going to be about he and the fate of the murder. Oedipus when to go see Tiresias beacause he needs to know if he knows anything about the murder. You might ask that how does this goes in with Oedipus" fate? This ties in with Oedipus" fate because he needs to now who is the murder. When Oedipus see Titresia, Titresia refuses to tell Oedipus what he know about the murder. Then Oedipus curses and insults Titresia. Oedipus does this so far in that he tell Titresia that he is the murder. After the taunts provake Titresia into revaling that Oedipus is inded the murderer.
