6. Static characters are the characters in a story that don't change. On page 166, the story says, " "Sit down,"" said the Headmaster."" I chose this quote as an example of a static character because the Headmaster doesn't change from the cold man he is.
7a. Exposition is the beginning of the story where you learn about the main character & conflict. On page 165, it shows the exposition. I chose that page as the exposition because it tells the readers the main character, Gawaine, and how he's afraid to fight.
7b. Rising action is the struggle with conflict in a story. On page 166, the story's rising action is the 6th through the 7th paragraphs. I chose those paragraphs as examples of rising action because it shows how Gawaine struggles with dragon training and how he begins to succeed. .
7c. Climax is the turning point in a story. On page 169 the 3rd- the 23rd paragraphs are the climax. I chose those as an example of the climax because this is when Gawaine meets his match and realizes that he is a true warrior and fighter.
