The Gangster Disciples



             Earl Porter was raised in the slums of Chicago's south side. Due to certain murder charges in 1987 of Don Jones, Porter was moved to the southern state of Georgia to attempt get away from the gang violent nature. Larry Hoover and David Barksdale tried their best to get Porter to come back to the gangs hometown of Chicago but King Porter would never want to come back. Porter's King Disciples haven't even heard from King Porter since this incident. His set of the disciple's was never actually fully set up. Earl porter's brother by the name of Mike Mayor was found dead after a multi million dollar drug deal had turned for the worst. When King Porter got arrested for a drug trafficking offense in Atlanta Georgia, was the last time any head member has heard of him. In the early 1970's, after the death of a Disciple King, David Barksdale, there would become a new leader for the Black Gangster Disciple Nation and his Name is Larry Hoover. .
             Only 2 years under Hoover's takeover of the gang, King Jerome "Shorty " Freeman had decided to leave the Black Gangster Disciple Nation. When this happened the Black Gangster Disciples and the Black Disciples split up in to different gangs. Although locked up, King Larry Hoover would give all his orders through to his fellow gang members and also still controlled the gangs drug business. At the Pontiac Correctional Center in Illinois, On July 22, 1978 a violent inmate riot broke out resulting in the death of three of the correctional facilities officers. This uproar was said to have happened because King Hoover ordered it to happen. All in all from the riot, 18 inmates were indicted on multiple different charges ranging from assault on a police officer to attempted murder. But eventually after an 11 week trial 10 inmates were acquitted. Charges were filed against Hoover and seven different other inmates but those charges were dropped. .
             The Gangster Disciples are a narcotics powerhouse that runs like a fortune 500 company.
