Julius Caesar



             A soothsayer declares that Caesar should beware the ides of March, but Caesar being image conscious, scorns him and pays no heed to his warning.
             Cassius plays a very important role in framing the conspiracy. He is able to even turn Caesar's close friend Brutus against him by means of flattery, clever use of words and calculated facts. He portrays Caesar as a physically crippled and weak ruler who would pose as a threat to Rome and its people if given power, in front of Brutus. Certain senators like Casca dislike Caesar and are not afraid to openly share their feelings.
             With the help of Casca, Cassius is able to prove to Brutus that he is not the only one who has a grudge against Caesar.
             .
             Caesar is a good a showman and is able to play with the crowd. By refusing the crown three times, he is able to please the crowd, much to the disgust of Casca. .
             Caesar's cruel and harsh nature is noticed when he gets Marallus and Flavius killed for opposing him. Every ruler has his own strengths and weaknesses, but none of Caesar's weaknesses were worthy enough for him to deserve death. Caesar, though physically weak, is an aggressive and perspicacious ruler. He is able to identify Cassius as his enemy but is overpowered by his pride and arrogant nature and hence does not take necessary precautions.
             ACT II.
             "Let us be sacrificers, not butchers, Caius.
             We all stand up against the spirit of Caesar, .
             And in the spirit of men there is no blood .
             O, that we could come by Caesar's spirit,.
             And not dismember Caesar! But alas.
             Caesar must bleed for it-.
             These lines, said by Brutus, clearly depict that Brutus was only interested in killing Caesar's evil ambition- and not destroy his life. .
             Scene two of the second act shows a different facet of Caesar's personality that is quite different from his usual self. The nights are crazy and there are unnatural sights.
