These strengthened relationships need to concentrate local conflicts into one national struggle (Marx and Engels 2000:10). These conflicts are related to political conflicts because they can change policies or social systems. Stronger and more unified laborers are then created and these changes show their power in the face of adversity. Marx asserts that class struggles actually promote the process of labor development. Conflicts in the past were conflicts of the minority regarding profits for the minority group, but the proletarians' conflict is independent and has a profit for the majority in society.
