North and South Korea Uniting

It is amazing how some people can be so moronic and unable to acknowledge that reunification of Koreas can only bring so much wonder.
One of the most common and top concerns about reunification is the unification cost. Would the reunification cripple South Korea's economy? Statistically, the answer is yes. It is said that the potential cost of unification could be two to five trillion dollars. While that may indeed cripple the South Korean economy, it is important to realize that there are more than two hundred different minerals trapped under the soil below the North Korea. According to what researchers say, a combined net worth of these minerals are seven trillion dollars or more, which could fully pay for the reunification of the peninsula alone and even leave some change floating about. It is also said by Goldman Sachs that if North Korea's growth potential reaches its full capacity, the gross domestic product of a united Korea would overtake that of Japan and other highly industrialized economies in thirty to forty years. Of course thirty to forty years sounds like an awful long time, but at least it's assuring to know that the economy will recover in time.
Economic Crisis isn't the only problem that is restraining the two Koreas from reuniting. The result of reunification (in a peaceful manner) could actually make the lives of North Koreans miserable. Although both South and North Koreans speak similar language, the ways natives speak and use the words are distinct and different. Aside from the difficulty caused by communication errors, most North Koreans suffer from poverty. .
The quality of life for them will surely get better as their diet improves and cars and cell-phones are used in daily life. But at the same time, it's inevitable that people from the north will suffer from a dramatic gap in social standards. For at least a full generation or two, it is likely that the majority of North Koreans won't be eligible for anything but low skilled, low paid jobs.
