Garnering mannerisms from silver screen classic beauties such as Audrey Hepburne, Marilyn Monroe, Dorothy Dandridge, Grace Kelly, and more recently Zoe Saldana, Anne Hathaway, and Angelina Jolie, I envision garments in the lady likeness of old Hollywood glamour with a chic, modern edge. .
Fashion trends reemerge about every twenty years, each time evolving into a neoteric version of its original self. .
I intend to market my designs to the stylish, elegant woman of today by conjuring up classic silhouettes of the past and introducing them to current, bold colors, prints, graphics, and textures of fashion du jour. Horticulture is a constant inspiration with its vivid hues and instantaneous lines, as are the insects and amphibians of the tropics. The whimsical transformations displayed by birds of paradise, along with their voltaic feathers are also influential in this collection.
Uniqueness of the Collection.
As with any line of clothing, the fundamental element that differentiates one collection from the other is the designer. Each garment that I design encapsulates a personal the story that I have written and created specifically for that piece. No one else has an explanation for fabrics I select, an understanding of the placement of each notion, or the why of my design. These are the components of my collection that only I have answers for, and also what sets my designs apart from everyone else.
Other than the actual design of my collections, my line will be unique in price point. My goal as a designer is to make a woman feel beautiful on day to day basis. I believe that daily fashion should be both stylish and affordable. .
