He rock climbs along mountains, and kayaks down the Grand Canyon in search of stimulating excitement in his life. His "great Alaskan adventure" allows Chris to act in a way that aids him in finding his true-self. A self that consists of an extrovert-like personality, and one that he was unable to express in his suburban life-style.
