Hero's Journey

The man's eyes were wide open and a deafening shriek was heard throughout the facility. Dr. Heinrich was very confused to why this man was in so much pain. Another scientist had rushed to sedate the screaming patient but had arrived at the table to find the man dead. Silence had replaced a chaotic scene and Dr. Heinrich studied the man for a second before looking at the spilled bottles of chemicals on the floor. The dead man's cut had been spoiled with a green colored liquid unknown to Dr. Heinrich. He hadn't intended the chemical to be there but he had discovered that it had created this pain in the man. The pain however, was not caused due to the nerves being destroyed. There was no damage to the man further than what was originally intended in the experiment. Dr. Heinrich had found that this chemical had tricked the man's mind into thinking there was intense pain in the area of the chemical contact but the death of the man was caused by a heart attack due to the unnatural amount of pain. .
More experiments were conducted and results had shown that even a mist of the mixture could result in the death of even the healthiest of patients. Finally he had something to prove. Even if on accident, Dr. Heinrich had created a breakthrough in the human mind. He had created a reaction. The next day Dr. Heinrich had arranged a presentation to his government officials to give them the information he had discovered. His contract had ordered him to do so. Heinrich wasn't too excited to share his information though. He had wanted to create something that would help society. But instead he had discovered destruction and was unsure as to how this could benefit his country. A letter was sent to his office a day later. .
Heinrich read what was supposed to be a congratulations and a personal thank you letter from his president. He read that his breakthrough would serve useful in his country and a growing conflict between two nations.
