Eyeglasses: The IQ Booster.
Having uncorrected vision I was forced to squint slightly for some extra sharpness as I approached the location of my optometrist, Dr. Curtiz. A few moments expired in the parking lot while I attempted to focus on the building numbers, finding the right one I started for the door. Several people of varying age and gender passed me along the way who were, unbeknownst to them, being put under tight scrutiny. One was a teenage girl, approximately18, who was wearing a pair of thick-framed black eyeglasses which did a very nice job of complimenting the rest of her sexy appeal. Another appeared to be a married couple, looking very sophisticated in a matching pair of spectacles. Lastly, my eyes spotted an obvious computer geek sporting a simple square frame. "Hmm, what do I want?" Various images swirled in my mind's forefront, at this time, however, I was indecisive. "Either way," I said to myself. "They"re going to be cool.".
Gazing through the building's entrance my sight was bombarded with barely recognizable objects, almost violating the limitations of my stigmatism. As I advanced the Lego-like objects began to take form and meaning blossomed as a result. At once my interest was captivated by a particular eyeglass frame which was being supported by a particularly attractive face. She was demonstrating magnetic sunglass clip-ons, a new accessory to prescription eyeglasses. Beyond her my eyes explored an everlasting stock of eyewear. Shelved were the best sellers ranging from Guess to Ralph Lauren, leading fashion designers Gucci and Lafont and even Marvel Comic's X-Men frames for children. Before I could finish the inspection my attention was wrenched back to a sober awareness. "So you didn't like the contacts?" Dr. Curtiz spoke from afar.
"Oh, I loved them actually," I replied. I had almost forgotten that years ago I came here to get bright green colored contact lenses.
