The Phenomenon of Perfume

             After gathering natural floral ingredients, pack them all to your glass jar and then spread through the cheesecloth. The screw-top jar should be thoroughly cleaned out. Then place the pot on a stove and keep it boiling for about five minutes. You should initially remove the contaminating odor from the bottle otherwise the perfume will acquire the aroma of the jar. The jar should be washed with isopropyl alcohol to neutralize the remaining odor and quickly evaporate any scent. After the jar and the cap are sterilized with the boiling water, they should be dried and then the jar should be lined with cheesecloth. All fragrance ingredients should be placed in the jar over the cheesecloth and filled with enough water to cover all the fragrant ingredients. Then the top on the jar is screwed tightly and the substance should remain closed for several days.
             If you mix the contents with alcohol (pure vodka will do) the ultimate fragrance effect will be higher and more odors will be drawn out of the original components. After the jar has sat for several days, remove all fragrance materials by slowly extracting the cheesecloth to leave as much liquid as possible in the jar. Then the jar should be closed again for another 24 hours. Finally, use a piece of coffee filter paper, seed the contents of full jar into another empty sterilized jar. Now you can make the same experiment with another variety of fragrant materials (Stoddart, 1990).
             Humans of all cultures naturally use various fragrances to modulate intensify the odor of their bodies. From the prevalent point of view the fragrances we use disguise the natural odor of our body to highlight its pleasantness. However, such conventional approach is restricted as for a long time the psychology of individual choices of fragrances has been mostly overlooked. The recently conducted experiments underscore the positive impacts of perfume on body and individual perception of odor.
