Jenn Sterger, a former sports reporter for the New York Jets, reported unwarranted advances by Favre while he played for the team. Favre reportedly sent sexually explicit messages and provocative picture messages to Sterger (Kersey). After the Sterger allegations were brought forth, further accusations of adultery with two massage therapists for the Jets also surfaced (Lalate).
These allegations are not recent, but they are just now being considered by the NFL. Favre refuses to comment on that matter, instead saying, "I'm not getting into that. I've got my hands full with the Jets and am trying to get some timing down with our guys, so that's all I'm going to discuss" (Kersey). This is not the first time Favre has been accused of cheating. In 2007, Favre's wife, Deanna, released her autobiography, which detailed accounts of Favre cheating before the two were wed. Deanna's autobiography, Don't Bet Against Me! Beating the Odds Against Breast Cancer and in Life, depicted similar actions from Favre in the 1990s before the marriage took place.
