The iPhone has made the globe just a little bit smaller, too. In a successful effort to keep pace with the "trend to optimize geographic locations for [its] users", the iPhone features applications that are capable of putting your very existence into context. Well, geographically, anyway. No matter where in the world you are, you are just a few clicks away from the nearest restaurant or clothing store. Don't know how to get there? The iPhone has you covered there, too: it will provide you with a map and directions to get you where you want to go.
Perhaps the only PC feature that an iPhone can't match (yet) is the ability to cut and paste data from one place to another. Apple acknowledges that the need to be able to cut and paste is important to iPhone users, and they claim the feature is on their to-do list for future incarnations of the phone.
But as for emailing, texting, taking and managing photos and video, playing music and finding your way around (oh, and making phone calls, incidentally), the iPhone is changing the way we live our lives.
