Democrats would have us believe that many people will not vote for Barack Obama because they are afraid. The implication is that those same people fear a black president and most would never vote for him, simply because he is black. .
The 'fear factor' has been bandied about on the Sunday morning talk shows since Obama announced he was running for president. The host never questions the validity of the fear. In fact, the host and guests alike treat the subject as though it were fact. They automatically assume the fear is race based. There are no questions about it. Needless to say, the commentators and hosts are simply not doing their job. Why delve deeper or question the source of the fear when fear of a black president suits the party so well?.
The 'race card' has been played so long and so well that most white voters now think it's a joke. Does anyone remember the Jesse Jackson-Al Sharpton march when the white Duke Lacrosse players were accused of rape? They were outraged. Throngs joined them in their march, with daily demonstrations. They rushed to judgement simply because the supposed victim was black and the supposed perpetrators were white. .
But they were wrong, very wrong. Those white kids were innocent. Yet, where was the public apology Jesse? Those kids will forever be associated with this so-called rape, a shadow hanging over them. Their lives have in fact been forever tainted. This group of the original civil rights activists did what they had to do. in the 60's and 70's. And they were right to do so.then. But they live in the past as their rush to judgement clearly shows. .
Fear does indeed play a role in the prospect of a Barack Obama presidency. But let's examine it more closely. The fear factor is not race based, but based on values and judgement. .
The values of Barack Obama are questionable when he supports sex education for 5 year olds in kindergarten. Before you say that it was only because it would teach children about sexual predators, look at the facts.
