Martian Chronicles

Captain Wilder advises Spender to escape; he will give Spender thirty seconds. Spender doesn't move and Wilder is forced to shoot him in the chest, a clean shot. The corpse was placed in a sarcophagus; Spender would have desired it that way, being an archaeologist. Captain Wilder was faced with a perplexing decision and did everything he could to spare Spender's life. After Spender's death, Wilder was true to his word. He promised to help preserve Mars and was exiled to Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune for twenty years because he interfered with colonial policy. Captain Wilder's actions prove that he is not conniving or evil, but heroic and noble. Wilder is far from being considered a monster. .
Racial injustice is extremely immoral whenever it occurs. In June 2003, the oppressed individuals banned together and took a stand. The black families in the South were leaving on rockets to Mars, which they had built in secret. During the voyage to the site of departure, they faced many controlling racists but that could not halter their mission. Mr. Teece snatched a boy named Belter, demanding that the boy repay him fifty dollars. Belter was as heart-broken as a mother who had lost her child. Through the generosity of many black people gathered around the debt was paid, each putting in a small share. Although it was a little amount of money, it proved to be a gigantically kind act. Belter could not be confined in a cage any longer, now with the help of mankind he will fly away. The ignorant Teece continued to try and stop the launch. Another boy had a contract with him and was being forced to stay and complete it. This was too much for some of the white people in the area. They stood up to Mr. Teece and compelled him to let the boy go. Racism is always monstrous, and any person who is a racist is far worse than any monster could ever be. However, through the actions of fearless black people and bold courageous white people it is proved that mankind is not a monster.
